Escrever neste blogue é um prazer e permite-nos ir relatando a nossa viagem à família, amigos e outros interessados. Do lado direito há uma lista de outros blogues de cicloturistas como nós, a maioria dos quais vamos conhecendo no caminho. No entanto, além de escrever, também me (Sara) dá um grande prazer ler outros blogues interessantes e por isso deixo esta pequena partilha de alguns dos meus blogues favoritos.

Writing in this blog is a treat and allows us to report our trip to our family, friends and other people who might be interested in it. On the right side of the blog there is a list of other blogs of cyclists like us, most of which we have met on the way. Conhecemos o Paul, ainda que muito brevemente, em La Paz, na Baja California, mas só descobrimos que tinha um blogue muito recentemente. O Paul é inglês e escreve com muito sentido humor, e tem também das melhores fotos que já vi. Recentemente mudou o tipo de viagem que está a fazer e anda a explorar trilhos desconhecidos pelas montanhas andinas. As suas histórias estão repletas de aventuras fantásticas, seja a desbravar caminhos seja em contacto com as populações locais, e chega a sítios onde poucas pessoas vão, tornando as fotos ainda mais incríveis.

We met Paul, albeit very briefly, in La Paz, Baja California, but only found out he had a blog recently. Paul is English and writes with great sense humor, and also has the best photos I’ve seen. Recently he changed the type of trip he’s doing and he is exploring the unknown trails of the Andean mountains. His stories are full of fantastic adventures, whether he is trying to find the path or in contact with some crazy local people, he goes where few people go, which makes his photos even more amazing.

Também conhecemos a Maggie e o Brian em La Paz, e depois passámos o Natal juntos em Guadalajara. Estão a fazer uma viagem muito semelhante à nossa mas já vão bem mais adiantados, e ainda têm tempo para manter dois blogues, de onde habitualmente vamos extraindo informações preciosas e actualizadas para a nossa rota. Para quem quer fazer uma viagem por estas bandas ou já está a caminho, um sítio cheio de informação relevante.

Also met Maggie and Brian in La Paz, and then spent Christmas together in Guadalajara. They are making a trip very similar to ours but they are way ahead of us, and still have time to maintain two blogs, from where we usually extract valuable and updated information to our route. For those who want to travel on this side of the world , or are already under way, this is a site full of relevant information.

Não conhecemos a Shirine mas eu sou uma grande fã do blogue dela. Apenas com vinte anos decidiu viajar de bicicleta sozinha, com apenas 5 dólares diários. Começou pela Índia, provavelmente um dos países mais difíceis para viajar em bicicleta e os seus relatos são incríveis. Actualmente o namorado juntou-se-lhe e estão na Turquia, mas continuam a tentar acampar sempre que podem e a viver o mais possível na natureza.

We never met Shirine but I’m a big fan of her blog. She’s only twenty years old and she decided to travel by bicycle alone, with a 5 dollars daily budget. She started in India, probably one of the most difficult countries to travel by bike and her country reports are incredible. Currently her boyfriend joined her and they are in Turkey, but still trying to camp wherever they can and live as much as possible in nature.

Actualmente não tem sido tão actualizado como ao início mas cada post é uma delícia.

Este blogue é de um amigo da Annie, que conhecemos nos Estados Unidos, e que está a fazer uma viagem do Oregon à Patagonia. Mais baseado em fotos que em texto e em feelings ou experiências que relatos, é também uma boa forma de acompanhar uma viagem deste género.

This blog is from a friend of Annie, that we have met in the United States, and he is travelling from Oregon to Patagonia. It’s based more on photos that ontext and more on feelings or experiences than reports, which is also a good way to follow up a trip like this.
