Parte da experiência da visita a Nova Iorque é fazer compras! Porque a variedade é enorme, porque se encontram bons preços, porque há coisas que não existem em Portugal. Com um espaço de bagagem bastante reduzido e com cada quilo a contar praticamente dez vezes o seu peso, qualquer extra tem que ser bem pensado. E foi assim que deixámos muita da roupa e alguns itens necessários para a viagem para adquirir em Nova Iorque.

E assim num belo Domingo de manhã descemos uma feira de rua na Brodway e fomos parar ao Soho. E assim, entre a Tiffany e a Chanel tivemos a oportunidade de comprar t-shirts e calças em lã merino na Ice Breaker, e depois ainda passar pela EMS e pela REI, lojas que são o sonho de qualquer pessoa envolvida seriamente em actividades ao ar livre.

Ainda houve a excelente oportunidade de comer uma extraordinária pizza à fatia e o melhor cheesecake que já provámos. Aqui deixamos a referência a quem queira experimentar, e que recomendamos vivamente a quem venha conhecer a cidade.

Part of the NYC visiting experience is to do some shopping! Because the variety is so big, because we can find good prices and because there are some stuff that don’t exist in Portugal. With a limited amount of space in our luggage and with each kilo counting ten times its weight, any extra needs to be well thought. And that was why we left some of the clothing as well as other items to buy in NYC.

So on a lovely Sunday morning we walked down on a street fair on Brodway and ended up on Soho. Between Tiffany and Chanel we had the chance to buy some t-shirts and trousers in merino wool at Icebreaker and after that going to EMS and REI, stores that are the dream of any person seriously involved in outdoor activities.

There was still the excellent opportunity to eat an extraordinary pizza by slice and the best cheesecake we ever tasted. Here is the reference for those who want to try, and that we truly recommend for those who want to visit the city.
